  1. Must be in good academic standing

  2. Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher appropriate to the area of service

  3. Be registered full-time for the respective semester – nine (9) semester credit hours during the fall semester, nine (9) semester credit hours during the spring semester, or three (3) semester credit hours during the summer session or be registered in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only remaining requirements of the degree plan.

Scope of Job

Duties include, but are not limited to, providing feedback and/or grading student work; monitoring/proctoring course activities; leading laboratory sessions, discussion sessions, or recitation labs; providing office hour assistance to students; and performing clerical tasks associated with course instruction.

Discipline Specific Required Qualifications

The Graduate Teaching Assistant position is available to full-time graduate students, preferably in those in good standing with the MSCJ program. Graduate Teaching Assistants will be assigned to specific faculty and their responsibilities with vary with the needs of the faculty with whom they work. 20 hours per week with flexible distribution to accommodate student needs.
