Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 11 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.

  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple cross-functional programs or projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in roles requiring advanced product economics/value analysis, such as Product Finance, Product Management, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Strategy, or Management Consulting.

  • Proven cross-functional influence and test, track record partnering with (and pushing back on) Product/Sales organisation around business generation and commercialization, with the ability to work across senior Product, Finance, and GTM/Sales stakeholders.

  • Value-based and engaged pricing know-how paired with a strong grasp of the business value drivers behind Cloud/IT infrastructure products, and technical fluency to translate features into commercial value.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

The Business Planning and Commercialization team owns the business generation and commercial strategy for all of Google Cloud Products and Services including Google Cloud Platform, Google Workspace, and X Alphabet capabilities that are commercialized through Google Cloud.

In this role, you will create and implement standardized, scalable business generation strategies, including pricing, bundling, packaging, discounting, and offers for all products and services. You will proactively drive innovation and cross-platform insights in business generation strategy and commercial policies, leading priority commercial, market intelligence, and business generation initiatives for Cloud CEO/Leadership. You will ensure executable pricing operationalization, collaborating with cross-functional partners for GTM operationalization and long-term automation.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $176000 - $256000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional pricing and packaging strategy for Google Cloud Products, securing executive leadership alignment while architecting scalable business generation frameworks and policies for core AI product portfolios.

  • Drive end-to-end commercialization of products and solutions, with a specific focus on AI capabilities and cross-cloud AI initiatives, informed by engaged and customer insights.

  • Establish pricing policies and structures across customer segments and channel structures to maximize business generation, drive customer acquisition, and differentiate Google Cloud in the market.

  • Refine pricing frameworks and strategies based on quantitative performance assessments, market shifts, and customer/sales feedback.
