Machine Operator Assistant

Job Description

The Machine Operator Assistant works on a fast-paced production line to ensure pasta shells are produced accurately and that equipment runs smoothly. In this role, you load bags of pasta into the machine, palletize boxed products, and complete documentation at a work table using a computer. Strong computer skills and attention to detail are essential to maintain quality and efficiency throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

  • Load bags of pasta into the production machine according to established procedures and safety guidelines.

  • Monitor the machine during operation to help ensure it runs smoothly and produces pasta shells to quality standards.

  • Load pallets with boxed pasta products, organizing and stacking them safely for storage or shipment.

  • Work at a designated table to document specific work activities, production counts, and other required information using a computer.

  • Assist with general machine operation tasks, including basic checks and adjustments as directed by machine operators or supervisors.

  • Perform general labor and assembly tasks related to production, packaging, and banding of pasta products.

  • Support general production activities such as palletizing, packaging, and material handling to keep the line running efficiently.

  • Follow all food manufacturing and facility cleanliness standards to maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Adhere to safety protocols when working around machinery, forklifts, and other production equipment.

  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet production goals and resolve minor issues promptly.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with machine operation or machine assisting in a production or manufacturing environment.

  • Basic computer knowledge and the ability to use a computer for documentation and data entry.

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure pasta shells are made correctly and products meet quality standards.

  • Ability to perform general labor tasks, including lifting, loading, and palletizing boxed products.

  • Comfort working on a production line with repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy.

  • Understanding of basic safety practices when working around machinery and production equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Prairie, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.35 - $20.35/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
