Full job description
Rate: $24 USD per hour
Pay or shift range: $24 USD to $28 USD
The expected range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
Description
The Position
This position is a member of the Mechanical Assembly Department. The Mechanical Assembler II will report directly to the Mechanical Assembly Supervisor. The Mechanical Assembler II is primarily responsible for building machines that meet design specifications while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
-
Interpret blueprints and follow work instructions to build machinery that meets or exceeds design specifications

Provide support in other areas of the company (i.e.) Warehouse, machine shop, weld shop, saw, & inspection when needed

Assist various Bartell departments achieve deadlines by providing manpower during times of backlog

Assist manufacturing engineering and mechanical engineering with job time estimates, attend design reviews and assist with print corrections

Aid manufacturing engineering by helping determine build sequence as well as provide technical support for design reviews. Provide assembling practices to mechanical engineering during design reviews.

Environmental, Occupational, Health, And Safety

Ensure all OSHA guidelines are followed with regards to heavy lifting and rigging, and proper use and storage of all oils and fluids. Maintain work area in a safe and orderly manner

Miscellaneous

Have a good attitude, start work on time, work overtime, when necessary, perform good housekeeping, communicate with others, be aware of his/her area and other’s safety, be a good team member.

Assist Painter as needed.
Job Requirements
Education
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential):
-
Fluency in English
-
Ability to obtain Heavy Lift Certification and Industrial Powered Vehicles License
-
Advanced ability to read and interpret pneumatic schematics
-
Advanced ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
-
Advanced computer skills
-
2-4 years of mechanical assembly experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable):

Intermediate knowledge of all Bartell manufacturing processes and technologies

Strong communication and conceptual skills

knowledge of hydraulic systems

Assembly of industrial equipment
