Relocation and Estate Sale Services Team Lead

Caring Transitions of Huntersville & Kannapolis

Part-Time | Variable Daytime Hours | Paid Training | Hands-On Leadership | Meaningful Work

Lead a Team. Solve Problems. Make a Difference.

Caring Transitions helps seniors and families through downsizing, relocation, estate sales, online auctions, and home clean-outs. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Team Lead who can guide a crew on-site, keep projects moving, protect the client experience, and make sure the details do not get missed. This is a working leadership role: you will set the tone, solve problems, and work right alongside the team.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, and support Transition Team Members while keeping projects safe, organized, efficient, and on schedule.

  • Communicate client goals, daily priorities, safety considerations, and workflow; assign tasks and adjust the plan as conditions change.

  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact and communicate project updates, concerns, or changes to management and clients as appropriate.

  • Coordinate tools, supplies, donation pickups, movers, clean-out activities, buyer pickups, and other project logistics.

  • Work hands-on with sorting, organizing, packing, unpacking, inventorying, property preparation, and clean-up.

  • Support estate sales and CTBids online auctions, including researching, photographing, describing, merchandising, and preparing items for sale.

  • Monitor labor hours, reinforce company procedures and safety standards, document issues or incidents, and help train newer team members.

What We’re Looking For

  • Natural leadership ability with a positive, respectful, and accountable approach.

  • Dependable, organized, solution-focused, and able to prioritize multiple tasks in changing environments.

  • Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Comfortable giving direction, coaching others, working independently, and contributing as part of the team.

  • Comfortable using a smartphone and company applications for communication, photos, auction work, and project information.

  • Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred. Experience with moving, organizing, estate sales, online auctions, resale, antiques, senior services, or home services is helpful but not required.

  • At least 18, eligible to work in the U.S., and able to successfully pass a background check.

Schedule & Local Travel

This is a part-time, project-based position. Hours vary based on client projects and are not guaranteed. Most work occurs during weekday daytime hours, with occasional Saturdays for estate sales, auction pickups, or other client projects. Reliable transportation is required to travel to job sites throughout Huntersville, Kannapolis, Concord, Mooresville, Davidson, Cornelius, and the North Charlotte area. A valid driver’s license is required when job duties involve driving a company or rental vehicle.

Physical Requirements

With or without reasonable accommodation, Team Leads must be able to perform the essential physical functions of the position, including regularly lifting and carrying approximately 30–40 pounds, assisting with heavier household items as part of a team, standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs, and working in a variety of indoor and outdoor home environments.

Why Join Us

Competitive hourly pay based on experience, paid training and ongoing support, flexible project-based scheduling, opportunities for growth, and meaningful work that makes a visible difference for local seniors and families. $18-20/Hour
