BIM Designer (Fully Remote)

Job Description:

We are seeking a BIM Designer/Coordinator to support BIM modeling, coordination, and setup efforts for electrical and ICT (Information & Communications Technology) systems on large-scale projects, with an initial focus on data centers. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in Revit and BIM processes who is looking to continue growing their technical expertise in a collaborative engineering environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with architects, engineers, and other trade coordinators to develop and maintain high-quality BIM models, support clash detection efforts, and ensure project standards are consistently followed. Candidates with backgrounds in either electrical BIM coordination or ICT/telecommunications design are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment and Projects:

• 100% remote position with the flexibility to work from anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain BIM models for electrical and ICT systems

• Set up BIM models and ensure compliance with project standards and workflows

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and trade partners throughout project execution

• Review and incorporate redlines and design revisions into project models

• Support 3D coordination meetings and clash detection processes

• Perform drafting and design updates within Revit

• Assist project teams with model quality control and coordination efforts

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support successful project delivery

Qualifications:

Must Have

• 1-10 years of BIM experience, with 4-6 years preferred

• Experience using Revit in a BIM modeling environment

• Exposure to electrical systems, ICT systems, telecommunications systems, or closely related disciplines

• Experience with modeling, drafting, and 3D coordination

• Ability to read and interpret construction or design documents

• Experience working on commercial projects

Nice to Have

• Electrical BIM coordination experience

• ICT/telecommunications design experience

• Electrical circuiting experience within Revit

• Data center project experience

• Experience performing clash detection and model coordination

• Background working for an engineering consulting firm, contractor, or design-build organization

• Knowledge of BIM standards and best practices

• Interest in long-term growth into project management or technical leadership roles

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
