Employment Type: Full timeShift: Day Shift Description: This position is regionally based out of Ann Arbor, MI, with responsibility for supporting locations in Livingston, Canton, Chelsea, Clarkston, Livonia, and Oakland. Periodic travel to these sites is required.
Position Summary: The Divisional Nurse Manager serves in a dual leadership capacity, providing clinical nursing leadership across assigned regions and specialties and direct operational oversight within designated clinical areas. The role partners with division, practice, medical, quality, operations and affiliated health-system leaders to standardize clinical workflows, strengthen staff competency, maintain safe and effective staffing, coordinate care across settings and advance quality, performance improvement and patient experience goals. The Divisional Nurse Manager supervises clinical staff and promotes efficient, coordinated and patient-centered care in compliance with organizational policy, regulatory requirements and the scope of RN licensure.
What the Divisional Nurse Manager will need: Education
- Bachelor’s degree and graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing program.
Licensure:
- Valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Michigan and current CPR certification.
Experience:

Preferred five years of clinical experience in a combination of both medical in our outpatient settings.

Direct supervisory/training/education or relevant experience is preferred.

Preferred: College coursework or formal training in management or leadership.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of professional nursing practice, ambulatory care, clinical procedures, medical terminology, coding, compliance, privacy and safety.

Proficiency with Epic, electronic medical records, Microsoft 365 and other job-related technology.

Excellent written, verbal, presentation, leadership, coaching, organizational, judgment and problem-solving skills.
What the Divisional Nurse Manager will do:

Partners with division leadership, practice operations, medical, quality and joint operating agreement leadership to develop, document, implement and sustain standardized clinical workflows and protocols across assigned regions and specialties.

Provides timely feedback to practice, medical and division leaders regarding workflow changes, quality and performance improvement initiatives, patient experience and site goals.

Provides daily leadership and supervision of assigned clinical staff, including recruitment, hiring, orientation, scheduling, timekeeping, payroll inputs, training, coaching, conflict resolution and response to patient concerns.

Establishes expectations, evaluates performance, completes annual clinical competency assessments, and recommends merit, promotion or corrective actions consistent with Human Resources policy.

Communicates pertinent clinical and committee information to providers, practice leaders and staff.

Builds effective teams and supports a positive, professional, and service-oriented environment.
