Lakeview is looking for a Manager of our Pharmacy division. Come and join us as we change the lives of our patients!
This position:
Plan, direct, and monitor all financial, operational, and professional activities of the pharmacy department. Develop policies, procedures, and processes that ensure the pharmacy department provides optimal pharmaceutical services to child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as prescribed by the medical staff. Ensure the pharmacy department meets all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements. Develop competence assessment programs that ensure that all pharmacy staff perform at utmost efficiency and safety, as well as comply with all applicable laws, policies, codes, and standards of the health system organization. Provide drug information and monitor drug therapy in order to optimize patient outcome.
Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the administrative function of the Pharmacy.

Develops models that promote medication safety in all aspects of the medication management process.

Responsible for the financial integrity of the Pharmacy.

Develops and reviews policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance within the Pharmacy and medication safety within the facility.

Handles all Human Resources issues related to department staff.

Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces likelihood of errors.
Qualifications
-
Skill, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of JCAHO and state regulations for both acute and skilled nursing facilities. Ability to work with physicians in a collaborative manner. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Basic computer knowledge. Knowledge of automated pharmacy systems, IV Laminar Flow Hood

Education: Graduate from accredited School of Pharmacy. Doctorate of Pharmacy degree preferred, or Bachelor of Science degree

Experience: Recent experience as a pharmacy manager in an acute hospital
