Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a top medical device client. This candidate will serve as a technical leader responsible for the design, development, integration, and verification of embedded electronic systems that support innovative healthcare technologies. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in analog and digital circuit design, PCB development, embedded systems, and hardware validation while working cross-functionally with software, mechanical, quality, and manufacturing teams. Day-to-Day:

  • Lead architecture, design, analysis, and verification of electrical systems for medical devices
  • Design analog, digital, mixed-signal, RF/wireless, and power-management circuits
  • Own schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, and product release activities
  • Conduct hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, validation, and verification testing
  • Integrate communication interfaces and embedded peripherals
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
  • Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, and risk assessments
  • Support manufacturing test development and production strategies
  • Investigate field and manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions •Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

  • 7+ years of electronic hardware design and development experience

  • Expertise in analog, digital, mixed-signal, low-power, and power-management circuit design

  • Advanced proficiency with Altium Designer, schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM management, and design release processes

  • Strong experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems architecture

  • Experience with communication protocols including I²C, UART, SPI, USB, and BLE

  • Hands-on debugging experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and similar lab equipment

  • Ability to lead complex technical investigations and root-cause analysis •Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Medical device industry experience

  • Experience in wearable technology, consumer electronics, robotics, or other regulated environments

  • Experience with design controls, risk management, verification testing, and regulatory documentation

  • RF/wireless design experience

  • Experience supporting manufacturing equipment and test fixture development
