Job Description

As a Production Supervisor, you will manage all production department associates, ensuring smooth operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will interpret production drawings, maintain raw material levels, and oversee the inventory of materials, equipment, and tools. Additionally, you will occasionally utilize various tools, assist in mold fabrication, and collaborate with other departments to maintain efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage all production department associates.

• Read, interpret, and understand production drawings.

• Maintain levels and inventory of raw materials, equipment, and tools.

• Use electric-powered, air-powered, and hand tools when necessary.

• Assist the mold fabrication department with setups or adjustments.

• Collaborate with other departments to maintain company operations and efficiency.

• Work with various cements, gypsums, and casting materials.

• Quality check finished molds and pieces for accuracy.

• Operate a counterbalance-type forklift safely.

• Receive and comprehend directions and instructions from the Operations Manager.

• Make decisions, meet targets, and work under timelines.

• Communicate and work effectively with other departments.

Essential Skills

• Supervision and production management.

• Experience in manufacturing operations and process improvement.

• Strong supervisory and management skills.

• Proficiency in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.

• Experience with six sigma methodologies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience managing others and a manufacturing department.

• Demonstrated qualification in electric and pneumatic powered tools.

Work Environment

This position is based in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with no temperature control. The majority of the staff on the manufacturing floor are Spanish-speaking.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
