Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience managing technology projects from initiation through implementation and closure, including project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, deliverables, and status reporting.

Experience working with technical teams and coordinating activities across IT staff, business stakeholders, vendors, and customers to successfully implement technology solutions, including the ability to understand technical constraints, dependencies, and trade-offs to identify misalignment, surface risks, and facilitate resolution.

Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements and translating stakeholder needs into actionable requirements and project activities.

Demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders, identify unresolved issues, ask clarifying questions, drive decisions, and communicate complex information effectively.

Experience documenting and evaluating current-state and future-state processes, identifying inefficiencies and root causes, and recommending practical process or operational improvements.

Experience supporting technology implementations, identifying and resolving project issues, anticipating risks and dependencies, and coordinating solutions through implementation and transition to operations.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects or assignments, prioritize competing demands, work independently, and maintain organization and attention to detail.

Excellent written, verbal, active-listening, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of high-performing technical and cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated ability to learn and understand technology concepts sufficiently to engage meaningfully with technical teams, ask informed questions, evaluate proposed solutions, and translate technical information for non-technical audiences. Does not require deep engineering expertise, but requires comfort working in technical environments and a willingness to develop working knowledge of relevant technologies.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing or supporting IT infrastructure, network, telecommunications, system implementation, or other technical projects.

Familiarity with IT infrastructure concepts such as networking ( LAN / WAN , switching, routing), data center operations, telecommunications, or system administration, sufficient to understand project scope and ask meaningful questions of technical staff.

Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Knowledge of higher education or university business processes and technology environments.

Experience with Lean Six Sigma, business process reengineering, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience supporting technology adoption, transition planning, or organizational change management related to IT implementations.
Job Description
The Vice President for Information Technology is seeking an experienced Business Process Analyst to work within the CIO Project Management Office ( CIO - PMO ). This position provides project management and business analysis support for technology initiatives, with a significant focus on Network Operations and IT infrastructure implementations.
Responsibilities include managing project plans, schedules, risks, dependencies, and deliverables; coordinating technical teams, stakeholders, and vendors; gathering and documenting business and technical requirements; and analyzing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
The CIO - PMO supports Information Technology and university departments in successfully implementing technology solutions, improving efficiency, and optimizing business processes across the university.

Job Duties
The Business Process Analyst serves as a member of the CIO Project Management Office, providing project management, business analysis, and process improvement support for technology initiatives, with a primary focus on Network Operations and IT infrastructure projects.
The position manages projects from initiation through implementation and closure; develops and maintains project schedules, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables; and coordinates activities among technical teams, university stakeholders, and vendors. The Analyst also gathers and documents business and technical requirements, facilitates stakeholder discussions, analyzes current and future-state processes, identifies opportunities for improvement, and supports successful implementation and transition to operations.The ideal candidate will have experience managing technology projects, coordinating technical implementations, analyzing business processes, and solving complex problems.
Also, they will maintain sufficient working knowledge of the relevant technologies and infrastructure to effectively manage project scope, identify risks, and accurately communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
