Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer II positions offered by Jabil Inc. (Florence, Kentucky). Introduce new computer device manufacturing process for a unique customer in U.S. Provide the equipment and tools required to produce computer devices such as servers and server racks. Perform line balance to accommodate constant change of the output goals and develop the ramp up plan for all NPI (New Product Introduction). Support the automation team to minimize workmanship issues by adding automated inspection devices and automated tooling to accomplish quality goals. Develop process improvements and perform cost reduction analysis to improve the cost of the manufacturing process. Develop the material suppliers by analyzing the failure mode of the incoming defective material and provide the failure test information. Develop safety processes to minimize the risk of accidents for the entire area. Develop a process flow for the parts required to build the servers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in engineering or related field and 2 years of experience working with Lean Six Sigma applications.

  • Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

o Balancing production lines;

o Working with servers and with server manufacturing processes;

o Working in factory shop floor systems;

o Utilizing MS Office, Minitab, and Agile, and DMAIC methodology; and

o Developing PFMEA, AQP, DFM, and DFA.

  • In lieu of a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 2 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and demonstrated proficiency in the skillset above.

  • Must be willing to travel domestically 10%.

  • Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
