BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional Digital Logistics Project Manager for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of Sentinel, the nation s next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM).

Why SENTINEL? There is never a dull moment on this strategic effort, a cornerstone for the nation s security! The Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program will completely replace the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM, an undertaking not performed in over 50 years. This program is considered a mega-project and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of Defense. The new ICBM weapon system acquisition effort brings with it the newest digital engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075. As part of the U.S. Air Force's Integration Support Contract (ISC), BAE Systems provides advisory and assistance services in the areas of engineering, logistics, management, scientific analysis, and other subject matter expertise to augment and optimize management of the Sentinel ICBM Prime Contractor.

BAE is looking for a forward-thinking leader to serve as the Digital Logistics Project Manager , accountable to the Product Support lead. In this role, you will be the primary catalyst for transforming traditional acquisition and logistics into a digitally-empowered enterprise. You will bridge the gap between the Air Force s vision for a model-based enterprise and the operational reality of weapon system deployment.

As a key project manager and subject matter expert, you will lead the digital transformation of Sentinel Digital Material Management for sustainment, ensuring seamless stakeholder collaboration across the acquisition lifecycle. You will operate in a high-performance culture, providing direct support to a national security-critical weapon system throughout engineering development, deployment, and sustainment.

Your core impact will include:

  • Strategic Roadmap: Developing and maintaining the Digital Sustainment Charter and Roadmap, utilizing quarterly OKRs to ensure the digital vision is delivered on time and within budget.

  • Expert Advisory: Providing technical guidance to the Sentinel Product Support Manager and Division leadership to validate DoW digital acquisition and sustainment requirements.

  • Enterprise Integration: Coordinate the Digital Sustainment Working Group and engaging with senior stakeholders across the OSD, HQ Air Force, AF Global Strike Command, NSA, and U.S. Strategic Command.

  • Digital Tooling: Identifying and implementing the tools and capabilities necessary for digital acquisition, leveraging authoritative models and data to streamline operations.

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of progressive experience (5 years with an advanced degree).

  • Leadership: Demonstrated success in project and task management, with a proven track record of solving complex product support challenges.

  • Risk Management: Experience evaluating and mitigating risks.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to negotiate with customers and translate strategic vision into tactical execution.

  • Adaptability: Proven ability to deliver results under high-pressure conditions, aggressive schedules, and shifting priorities.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • DoD Acquisition Expertise: Deep familiarity with DoD Directive 5000.01, DoDI 5000.02, and DoDI 5000.91 (Product Support Management).

  • Logistics & Sustainment Lifecycle: Experience planning or executing sustainment activities for Air Force programs, specifically within the Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction (TMRR) and Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phases.

  • Certification: PMP, CPL/DML, or WAU certifications in Lifecycle Logistics, Program Management, Digital Product Support.

  • Technical Tools: Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) software such as Cameo, requirements development and management software such as DOORS, and scheduling software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.

  • Domain Knowledge: Prior experience with ICBM weapon systems or large-scale ACAT I level programs.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
