Full job description
Carbon is Novisto's broadest and most technically demanding product area — spanning Corporate Carbon Accounting (including Scope 3), Financed Emissions, Product Carbon Footprint, and Decarbonisation. It's also the area under the most active evolution: extended through partnership and acquisition, expected to incorporate AI capabilities as a baseline market expectation, and held to audit-grade standards of accuracy and traceability by the regulations it serves.
This role owns product outcomes across that full suite. It's a broad, technically deep, customer-facing remit that calls for a PM who can move fluidly across multiple product lines, hold real domain and regulatory complexity, and operate with the rigor an audit-ready product demands — while raising the bar for the wider team's product practice in the process.
The Opportunity
-
Full ownership of a multi-product suite — not a single feature or workstream — requiring strong prioritisation and comfort with constant context-switching across genuinely different problem spaces.
-
A build/partner/acquire execution model: some capability is built in-house, some delivered through partners, some inherited through acquisition — this PM works across all three, not just one.
-
Direct customer exposure at a strategic level: roadmap and strategy presentations, live requirements conversations, and escalations, with real commercial and reputational stakes attached to accuracy and delivery.
-
Product evolution into AI-enabled capability as the suite matures, rather than steady-state maintenance of a settled product.
Your responsibilities will include:
Own outcomes across the Carbon suite
-
Hold end-to-end product accountability across Corporate Carbon Accounting (incl. Scope 3), Financed Emissions, Product Carbon Footprint, and Decarbonisation as one connected remit.
-
Prioritise ruthlessly across competing, genuinely different problem spaces, making trade-offs that are legible to engineering, leadership, and customers.
-
Build sufficient domain depth in each area to drive solutions forward independently, rather than waiting for fully-specified requirements from customers or SMEs.
-
Be accountable for measurable product outcomes — adoption, retention, delivery against commercial commitments — not just features shipped.
Operate a build/partner/acquire model
-
Work directly with external partners to define scope, resolve product gaps, and manage the product-level relationship as capability is delivered through partnership rather than built in-house.
-
Assess and integrate acquired or partnered capability into a coherent product experience, rather than treating it as a bolt-on.
-
Bring enough commercial fluency to input into build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions and hold your own on partner terms that affect the product — SLAs, data rights, and roadmap influence.
Bring audit-grade rigor to everything you ship
-
Treat reporting rules and regulatory requirements as first-order product constraints, not compliance overhead layered on afterwards.
-
Apply meaningful attention to detail across validation logic, edge cases, and UX — the standard our live customer integrations have already shown gets tested in production.
-
Track evolving disclosure requirements as an active input to roadmap decisions, not a background concern.
-
Translate genuinely technical, regulation-driven requirements into decisions engineering can build against with confidence.
Run modern discovery and delivery practice
-
Lead discovery — customer interviews, problem framing, prototyping with UX/UI — rather than working from a pre-built backlog.
-
Partner closely with Engineering on solution design to the degree the problem demands, while creating enough space for the team to own how problems get solved.
-
Operate in the spirit of empowered product teams: outcome-driven, discovery-led, and evidence-based, even where the wider organisation's process isn't fully there yet.
-
Design within a shared platform architecture and design system, balancing Carbon-specific needs against platform-wide consistency and reuse.
Evolve the product with AI
-
Identify where AI capability should be embedded in the Carbon suite as it becomes a baseline market expectation rather than a differentiator.
-
Bring genuine curiosity and hands-on experimentation with AI tools into your own process, and use them to accelerate discovery, delivery, and product quality.
Be the face of Carbon to customers
-
Lead strategy and roadmap conversations directly with customers, including senior stakeholders.
-
Take ownership of live customer feedback, requirements, and escalations — this is a highly customer-facing role with no back office to hide in.
Work across the business
-
Partner effectively with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, domain specialists in Carbon/ESG, and Engineering to move decisions forward, especially where formal process is still forming.
-
Raise the bar for product craft on the wider team through example — rigorous requirements, sharp trade-off framing, and disciplined discovery — even without formal management responsibility.
-
Use data — usage, adoption, feedback, delivery — to inform prioritisation and defend decisions, rather than relying on the loudest voice in the room.
What We're Looking For
-
Significant experience as a Senior or Principal Product Manager in B2B SaaS, ideally at scale-up stage, with a track record of owning outcomes across more than one product line or workstream concurrently.
-
Demonstrated comfort operating in a technical, rules-heavy, or regulated domain — someone who has shipped product where correctness, traceability, and audit-readiness were real constraints, not necessarily carbon-specific.
-
Strong, current evidence of modern PM practice: discovery-led, outcome-oriented, and comfortable working in (even if not formally practising) an empowered product team model.
-
Experience running discovery with UX/UI Designers — prototyping, user journeys, and translating ambiguous problems into testable solutions.
-
Confident, senior-level customer-facing skills: strategy and roadmap presentations, handling feedback and escalations directly, and holding your own with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
-
A genuine data-informed approach to decision-making.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication, calibrated for both executive and highly technical audiences.
-
Willingness and enthusiasm to work with AI tooling across the product development lifecycle, even without direct prior experience.
Nice to Have
-
Direct domain knowledge in carbon accounting, ESG, or sustainability reporting (e.g. Scope 1/2/3, GHG Protocol, PCAF, CSRD/ESRS) — where present, there's a real opportunity to shape strategy in this space, not just execute against it.
-
Experience managing or shaping products delivered through partnership or white-label arrangements.
-
Hands-on experience with AI tooling in the product development lifecycle.
-
Familiarity with product operations practice — process design, tooling, and governance that scales a growing product organisation.
-
Experience in a company expanding its platform scope through partnership or acquisition, rather than organic build alone.
What we offer
-
Join an early-stage, well-financed company
-
Advance Novisto’s purpose of contributing to the sustainability of the economy, environment, and society by empowering companies to make better decisions and disclosures through our ESG data management software
-
Contribute your knowledge and insights to increase awareness and knowledge of sustainability
-
Flexible schedules & opportunity to work remotely
-
Stock option plan
-
