Job Summary:

This role serves as the primary liaison between the Supply team and field Sales organizations, ensuring seamless alignment between current and future demand while preparing the supply network to meet these needs at the lowest overall delivered cost. The position is responsible for tactical and operational Supply Chain Planning and network optimization for bulk CO2 products across the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, the role identifies and evaluates long-term projects and opportunities to drive cost savings, productivity, and efficiency improvements within the CO2 supply chain. It also provides critical Supply Chain insights to support strategic growth initiatives.

Principal Responsibilities:

Pr i mary I nterface be tw een M ar k ets / Sa l es Strategic Product M anagement and Operat i ons for CO2

  • Prima ry da y -to-da y i nterface w ith account managers and reg i ona l M ar k ets leadership on understand i ng changes i n customer demand that w ill affect the suppl y networ k configuration

  • Provide product ava il abil i ty and cost i ng anal y ses to Strateg i c Product M anagement for over DOA-based ne w bus i ness and i nvestment case ana l y ses and sen i or management for overall business management

  • Provide CO2 outage ( d i s l ocation ) costs dur i ng major outages / force majeure events for cost recove ry po l ic y de fi ned b y Strategic Product M anagement and M ar k ets

T act i cal Supply Cha i n Planning and Optim i zat i on :

  • Ass i gns p l ant product i on rates and i nvento ry targets in collaboration w ith fie l d operations and Energ y Procurement team to minim i ze overall product costs . T his includes da y -of p l ant turndo w ns / shutdo w ns to meet po w er reduction ob l igations and minim i ze / avoid pea k po w er costs .

  • Responsib l e for coord i nating w ith Schedul i ng teams on invento ry vs. alternate sourcing needs to minim i ze i mpact to customers .

  • Ensures all m i d- and l ong-term purchase agreements are util i zed based on l o w est tota l incrementa l costs .

  • Responsib l e for deve l opment , use and compl i ance to propr i eta ry ne tw or k opt i mization s y stems ( T AC T ) , i nc l ud i ng qual i ty of i nputs and adherence to outputs .

  • E x ecute suppl y rev i e w s w ith fie l d personnel and deve l op operat i ona l p l ans for Sa l es and Operat i ons P l ann i ng . Sets transport resource levels required to fulfi l p l an w hile m i n i miz i ng assets and costs .

Operat i ve Supply Cha i n R esponse :

  • Execute supply reviews with field personnel and develop operational plans for Sales and Operations Planning. Sets transport resource levels required to fulfil plan while minimizing assets and costs.

Other :

  • Superv i ses rail l ogistics anal y st w ho is responsib l e for da il y management of the CO2 and Argon ra il fleets , i nc l ud i ng I SO conta i ners for e x port , optim i zes CO2 rail operations and prov i des detailed ana l y s i s on monthl y cost performance , future fl eet s i zing needs , operat i ve k e y performance i ndicators and coord i nates w ith FOB ( p i c k up) customers .

  • Responsib l e for deve l oping k e y operational a s sumptions and assoc i ated costs for the annual budget i ng process and on-going reforecasts , i nc l ud i ng purchases , rail sh i pments , p l anned outage ( d i s l ocation) costs

Required Skills:

Basic Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Log i st i cs , Supp l y Chain Management , B us i ness or related field

  • M inimum 7 y ears’ e xperience in industria l gases or re l ated process i ndust ry w i th Supp l y Chain Management e x perience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • S . C . P . , M. B.A. and Si x S i gma certificat i on are a p l us
