City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Overview Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Recreational Therapist for their Inpatient Rehab Unit

Part Time (20 Hours) Monday through Friday 1 - 5pm

Plans and implements medically prescribed recreational therapy program for patients based on their diagnosis, acuity, level of function and cognition that supports optimum patient care. Performs in-depth evaluation of patients utilizing a variety of assessment tools that identify patient's cognitive, social, emotional and motor function for leisure/recreation participation. Implements treatment programs primarily through the use of leisure education and skills, adaptive leisure equipment, and activity analysis.

Education

  • Bachelor's Level Degree

Certification/Licensure

  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
  • BLS within 90 days

Experience

  • 1 year Related Experience

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $59,592.00 - $94,868.80 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
