Supply Technician, ASW

This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work related to depot and retail ammunition supply activities. Work is assigned, recorded, and monitored by specific storage area and function, and oversight is prioritized in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require:

• a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.

• Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have Military Occupational Specialties 89B (55B) or 6 years of relevant work experience.

• Defense Ammunition Center (DAC) certification in Ammo 45, Ammo 63, Ammo 64, Ammo 67, Ammo 75, Ammo 78, Ammo 112.

• Must be knowledge of related doctrinal publications.

• Must have strong MS Office skills.

• Must have instruction, teaching, mentoring experience.

• Must be able to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.

• Must have the ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 investigation and maintain and obtain a CAC.

• Must have the physical requirements to include (but are not limited to): the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, reaching and standing for long period.

• Ability to receive HAZMAT Certification Ammo 62.

Desired Qualifications:

• Pack-1B (DAC) Military Preservation and Packaging for storage/Shipment.

• Wood packing materials (tarp.navsup.navy.mil/WPM).

• Valid driver's license.

• EAGLE Forklift Operators Permit.

• OHSA 10 General Industry.

• Valid Driver's License.

• Commercial Driver's License.

• High School or Equivalent.

Pay and Benefits:

• Hourly Compensation: $28.76.

• Hourly Health & Welfare: $5.09.
