Full job description

Speedwell Construction is seeking a Project Accountant to oversee project finances, support accurate billing and reporting, and partner with Project Managers. If you have a strong general accounting background and want to expand your skills, this is an opportunity to make a visible impact. Previous construction accounting experience is not required; we will help you learn our project-based processes and systems.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Prepare monthly customer invoices and follow up on unpaid balances

  • Track project costs, compare results with budgets, and help maintain completion forecasts

  • Review contracts, supplier invoices, purchase orders, payment documents, and approved changes

  • Support month-end accounting, revenue reporting, cash forecasting, and financial reviews

  • Maintain accurate project records and serve as an accounting resource for Project Managers

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Two or more years of general accounting experience

  • Experience with reconciliations, adjusting entries, financial reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable, or collections

  • Ability to analyze budget differences, resolve discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines

  • Strong Excel, communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Ability to learn Trimble Viewpoint Vista, Trimble Pay, and Speedwell's project accounting processes

You'll join a team guided by Diligence, Respect, Humility, and a Sense of Urgency. This is a full-time, exempt, primarily office-based role with a Monday-through-Friday schedule.
