Early Childhood Better Together (ECBT)

Children’s Behavioral and Mental Health Services

Hourly Rate: $21.85

Who You Are:

• You are a parent, caregiver, or family member of a child who currently receives or has previously received behavioral health, developmental, Early Intervention, special education, or related children’s services

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required

• Experience providing family support, advocacy, or peer support preferred

• Experience with family advocacy or community organizations such as NAMI, PPAL, or the Federation for Children with Special Needs is a plus

• Comfortable working with young children and families from diverse backgrounds

• Compassionate, supportive, and passionate about helping caregivers advocate for their children

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

What You Will Do:

As an ECBT Family Partner, you will use your own lived experience navigating children’s services to support, educate, coach, and advocate for families of children ages 3 to 5.

You will:

• Build trusting and supportive relationships with caregivers through empathy, active listening, and shared lived experience

• Provide individualized caregiver coaching to strengthen parenting confidence and support healthy child development

• Help families identify their goals, strengths, priorities, cultural values, and natural supports

• Educate caregivers about child development, emotional regulation, behavioral health, sensory needs, and community resources

• Help families navigate Early Intervention, preschool special education, pediatric care, behavioral health services, insurance, and other community resources

• Support families transitioning from Early Intervention into preschool and school based services, including helping caregivers understand evaluations and IEPs

• Advocate for family voice and participation during treatment planning, school meetings, and provider consultations

• Connect families with support groups, respite resources, recreational opportunities, financial assistance programs, and other community services

• Collaborate with the ECBT interdisciplinary team and community providers to ensure coordinated, family centered care

• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, supervision, trainings, and community outreach

About Early Childhood Better Together:

Early Childhood Better Together (ECBT) is an innovative, diagnosis agnostic behavioral health program designed to support children ages 3 to 5 with emerging behavioral, emotional, developmental, communication, or sensory needs.

ECBT bridges the critical gap between Early Intervention and school based services by providing coordinated, interdisciplinary care through a team that includes a Mental Health Clinician, Behavioral Therapist/BCBA, Occupational Therapist, and Family Partner.

Through early identification, caregiver coaching, and home and community based services, ECBT helps children build the skills they need to thrive while strengthening families, improving school readiness, and reducing the need for more intensive services later.

Who We Are:

A dedicated team of professionals who have chosen to join an organization with a forty year history of serving people with mental illness, developmental disabilities, brain injury and autism in the community. When we’re not at work, we love to hike, bike, craft, read, shop and sing opera, among many other things! Our staff of 350 have range of interests and skills and we know you do too! At work, we are psychiatrists, social workers, clinicians, nurses, behavior specialists, peer specialists, board certified behavior analysts, direct service staff and employment specialists.
