Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist physician and health care team members in understanding the significant social and emotional factors related to health problems.

  • Participate in the development of the plan of treatment.

  • Prepare clinical and progress notes.

  • Work with the family; utilizes appropriate community resources; leads patient groups; and participates in discharge planning.

  • This position will be assigned to the Behavioral Health Unit and work with both the geriatric and adult populations.

Social Worker Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work required, Master’s preferred.

  • South Carolina license in Social Work required

  • Knowledge regarding community resources required.

  • One year of hospital/health care experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work in a collaborative team approach are required.

Counselor Qualifications include:

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling or related field.

  • LPC or LMFT required.
