Position Summary:

Responsible for the supervision of daily activities in the clinic. Monitors and directs staff members for various duties to meet the needs of clinic/department operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages day to day operations, including staffing, technical functions, and physician/patient concerns.

Monitors appointment scheduling functions and physician schedules.

Provides orientation/training for new and existing staff including comprehensive training manuals

Assists Senior Director with ongoing evaluation of staff member’s performance to include annual performance evaluations.

Conducts and/or participates in monthly staff and provider meetings, educational sessions and outside meetings.

Maintains inventory of office supplies and replenishes supplies following budget guidelines.

Responsible for documentation of Employee Injury and Safety First reporting.

Prepares counseling and disciplinary action forms.

Assists with the hires and/or terminates employees as needed.

Ensures that the department is ready to serve the patients when the clinic opens each day and that the clinic is closed following properprocedure.

Ensures that clinic policies are followed and keeps staff advised of any new policies or changes.

Directs departmental quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities within functional area. Plans and developsprograms designed to ensure quality improvement opportunities, goals setting, collection and evaluation of data, and quality actionplans are achieved within functional area of responsibility.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Associates degree.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED

2 years of related clerical or medical assistant experience. Previous supervisory experience.
