Description Salesforce Software Engineer - Integration Engineering SMTS Mexico City | Hybrid DET TEAM

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Software Engineer Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) with a strong focus on integration development to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust applications that support our sales operations and enhance our customer-facing platforms. While experience with the Salesforce platform is a plus, a proven track record in fullstack and integration development with expertise in modern web technologies is paramount. You will be expected to lead by example, mentor junior engineers, and contribute significantly to architectural decisions and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and secure fullstack applications.

  • Onboarding new customers by integrating their data sources with internal platforms.

  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineering teams to define requirements, scope projects, and deliver innovative solutions.

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code across the entire stack, including front-end, back-end, and database layers.

  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.

  • Contribute to the evolution of our architectural patterns, tools, and processes.

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating and recommending new tools and frameworks.

  • Work with the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Agentforce and integrations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 6+ years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years in a fullstack role.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce Configuration and Security, including managing permission sets, external credentials, and field-level security.

  • Experience with Application and Flow Management, including Salesforce 360 application management, flow integration, and utilizing custom actions within flows.

  • Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting complex API authentication mechanisms, with a strong emphasis on OAuth 2.0 and Bearer token authorization flows.

  • Experience designing dynamic API calls that utilize parameterized query parameters based on upstream workflow data

  • Strong expertise in back-end development with languages such as Java (Spring Boot), Python (Django), Node.js)

  • Familiarity with Slack APIs and integration patterns.Hands-on experience building custom REST API integrations with major enterprise systems such as Snowflake, Workday etc.

  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).

  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (Heroku, AWS, GCP).

  • Capability to manage Salesforce deployment processes, including familiarity with deployment pipelines (such as Salesforce CLI/DX) and version control using repositories (Git).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and agile development methodologies.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and propose effective solutions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Salesforce platform development (Apex, Visualforce, Agentforce, Lightning Components, SOQL/SOSL).

  • Familiarity with Salesforce APIs and integration patterns.

  • Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., LWC, React, Angular, Vue.js) and associated technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript).

  • Experience in a leadership or mentorship role.
