Job Role The Engineer/Lead Engineer - Mechanical Design & Modelling will be responsible for preparing detailed 2D Drawings and CAD models for Gas Turbine components and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate engineering requirements, concepts, calculations, and analysis outputs into detailed component designs

• Responsible for creating component design definition (2D/3D CAD drawings/models) for manufacturing.

• Establish and maintain clear design intent, interfaces, and model structure.

• Support design iterations and modifications throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Work with cross-functional teams and manufacturing specialists on tolerance definition, interface management and assembly procedure for seamless integration of components, sub-systems and systems.

• Provide modelling support to component owners throughout the part design and analysis cycle.

• For Lead Engineer -Mentor a team engineers to deliver component, sub-assembly and engine drawings

Qualifications

• Hold a Diploma or Engineering degree in Mechanical or a closely related field, with a strong foundation in engineering drawing, CAD and mechanical design.
• 1-10 years industrial experience in CAD modelling of Gas Turbine or similar turbomachinery products.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D modelling software such as AutoCAD, Unigraphics NX or similar.
• Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in leading/mentoring a small team is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-functional team.
• Be adept at handling ambiguity and making data-driven recommendations.
• Exhibit the capacity to communicate complex technical ideas and information concisely and logically across a wide range of topics.
• Think outside the box and come up with creative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
