Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to lead the daily operations of a recognized culinary venue, restaurant, or dining concept. This hands-on culinary leader is responsible for team management, menu execution, food quality, resident experience, labor and food cost control, inventory, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise culinary team members, including staffing, scheduling, training, coaching, performance management, and employee development.

Manage daily culinary operations, production, service execution, menus, recipes, purchasing, and inventory.

Develop and monitor labor utilization, food costs, operating budgets, productivity, waste reduction, and financial performance.

Create exceptional dining experiences through high-quality food, personalized service, resident engagement, and brand standards.

Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, allergen management, therapeutic diets, and regulatory requirements.

Partner with Front of House and community leadership to resolve service issues and continuously improve the resident experience.

Maintain inspection-ready kitchens and accurate production, temperature, inventory, training, and audit documentation.

Support events, special dining experiences, and culinary programming.
Qualifications

Culinary degree, apprenticeship, certification, or equivalent progressive culinary leadership experience preferred.

Current ServSafe Manager or equivalent food protection certification required.

Experience managing labor, food costs, budgets, inventory, scheduling, and team performance.

Strong knowledge of menu development, food production, purchasing, food safety, and culinary operations.

Fine dining, luxury hotel, resort, Michelin-recognized restaurant, or high-end club experience preferred.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Range:
61,152.00 - 76,544.00
