Job Description
A leading hospital is looking for a Director of Strategic Communications to partner closely with the Chief Transformation and Digital Information Officer (CTDIO) and executive leadership to develop strategic communications and support high-priority initiatives. Lead internal and external communications across technology, innovation, AI, cybersecurity, clinical informatics, and transformation initiatives. Develop executive-level presentations, talking points, whitepapers, board communications, executive briefs, Q&A materials, and social content. Coordinate Board/subcommittee reporting, including progress updates, milestones, metrics, risks, and key decision points. Prepare technology leaders for high-profile engagements with board members, donors, regulators, partners, conferences, media, and industry groups. Plan and coordinate technology town halls, leadership forums, all-team meetings, newsletters, announcements, and executive updates. Translate complex technology and transformation initiatives into clear, compelling stories that demonstrate enterprise impact. Partner with senior leaders, program teams, and change management teams to ensure consistent messaging and support adoption of major initiatives. Maintain the executive engagement calendar and coordinate materials, meetings, decisions, and follow-up actions. Monitor stakeholder feedback and communication metrics to continuously improve messaging and engagement.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5–10 years of experience within healthcare technology, management consulting, or technology marketing/communications - Specific to Internal Communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong storytelling and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong experience creating executive-level presentations, communications, and written materials from complex or ambiguous information.
- Comfortable working directly with C-suite executives, senior leadership, and other high-profile stakeholders.
- Ability to take complex ideas and quickly translate them into polished, concise presentations and messaging.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information. -Healthcare Experience is a plus
