Summary
About the position: This is a NAF position with the 61st Force Support Squadron, located with Marketing on Los Angeles Air Force Base, El Segundo, California. This position is considered Regular Part Time. The position is 20 hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. As a regular part-time employee, you are eligible for leave and benefits
Duties
Introductory Statement: The primary function of the position is to assist the Marketing Director in the management of marketing operations, project coordination, and marketing campaigns for the 61st Force Support Squadron (61 FSS). Duties and Responsibilities: Project Management: Under the direction of the Marketing Director, coordinates marketing workflow by receiving, tracking, prioritizing, and managing work requests submitted through the project management system. Monitors production timelines to ensure the timely completion of marketing deliverables. Email & SMS Marketing: Responsible for the creation, distribution, and management of squadron email newsletters and SMS campaigns, analyzing performance metrics to optimize engagement and audience growth. Marketing & Communications: Assists the Marketing Director in developing communication strategies and multi-channel marketing campaigns designed to increase FSS activity participation and revenue by determining the most effective media mix for target audiences. Obtains information on upcoming events, special programs and offers from activity managers. Market Research: Assists in conducting qualitative and quantitative market research. Administers surveys, collects and tabulates data, and assists the Marketing Director in analyzing results to provide constructive marketing feedback to activity managers. Social Media: Assists with creating, editing, and publishing social media content. May provide event coverage to offer media support and live streaming to social media platforms. Operational Support: Attends FSS events as directed to assist in planning, preparing, and staffing the outreach booth to distribute giveaways and promote digital communication channels for email and SMS marketing sign-ups. May provide or arrange for photographic support for FSS functions. Assists in the distribution of materials to base activities and base housing areas. May assist in designing and developing publicity materials as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned. Occasionally required to work outside normal business hours and/or travel to different function activities. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have a general knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing, public relations, and/or advertising, preferably within an agency or in-house environment. Must have experience with project management platforms. Experience developing, conducting, and analyzing market research, to include utilizing data collection methods (surveys and focus groups) is required. Experience must demonstrate the ability to perform research and maintain well-organized files. Incumbent must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of the current Adobe Creative Design Suite programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Bridge) is highly desired. Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly and effectively, demonstrating a strong command of spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Specialized knowledge of FSS operations and programs highly desired. Condition(s) of Employment: Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Education

Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement..
