Job Description

Job Summary Insight Global is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for a leading government services and technology organization supporting mission-critical communications infrastructure. This individual will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the design, implementation, support, and optimization of Unified Communications solutions, including voice, video, and telecommunications technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background, experience managing technical teams and supervisors, and expertise within Unified Communications environments. This person will play a key role in driving operational excellence, vendor management, project execution, and strategic technology initiatives. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Lead and manage a medium-sized engineering organization consisting of multiple technical disciplines and subordinate supervisors. Oversee the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of Unified Communications services, including voice, video, and telecommunications solutions. Prioritize engineering initiatives and ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives. Develop, implement, and maintain engineering processes, policies, and best practices. Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and strategic opportunities for modernization and operational improvements. Manage vendor relationships, contract performance, billing reconciliation, and procurement activities. Support project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and cost/feasibility analysis. Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to ensure engineering efforts align with business and customer requirements. Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development for engineering team members.

Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 per year annual salary.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare insurance offerings and paid leave as provided by applicable law

Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering 5+ years of engineering, telecommunications, networking or IT management experience. Experience leading engineering teams, including direct management of supervisors or technical leads. Experience managing projects, priorities, budgets, and operational performance metrics. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience supporting government, federal, or mission-critical environments. Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and enterprise communications platforms. Experience managing vendor contracts and third-party service providers. Familiarity with technology modernization initiatives and strategic planning. Strong background in Unified Communications technologies, including voice, video, and telecommunications systems.
