HR Generalist

Description

We are seeking an experienced Contract HR Generalist to support our Human Resources team on a temporary basis. This role will be responsible for a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, recruiting support, compliance, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to quickly integrate into a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional support to employees and management.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire orientation and employee documentation.

• Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, procedures, and workplace concerns.

• Support recruitment efforts by posting positions, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating hiring activities.

• Assist with benefits administration, leave management, and open enrollment processes.

• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws.

• Partner with leadership on employee relations matters, performance concerns, and policy interpretation.

• Prepare HR documents including offer letters, employment verifications, status changes, and disciplinary documentation.

• Support payroll and timekeeping functions by maintaining accurate employee data.

• Generate reports and assist with HR projects, audits, and process improvements.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

• 3+ years of HR Generalist experience.

• Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, and employment law.

• Experience working with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.

• Proven ability to work independently and adapt to changing business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification preferred.

• Experience supporting a high-volume or multi-site workforce.

• Familiarity with payroll processing and leave administration.
