Full job description

Job Summary:

Inductotherm Corp has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join our Team, 100% on-site in Rancocas, New Jersey, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

We are seeking a Buyer with experience in a manufacturing environment. Purchasing a variety of general and specialized items which might include, but not necessarily be limited to such items as: Plumbing fittings, temperature measurement and control, and MRO supplies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibility for assigned staff.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate prices, quantities and delivery timescales.

  • Source suppliers by various means and from domestic markets

  • Analyze buying patterns and predict future trends.

  • Must be able to make decisions within the scope of assigned authority.

  • Occasional travel (Domestic) by public transportation to meet with suppliers.

  • Must be regular in attendance and be able to and willing to work hours as required to get the job done.

  • Will be required to complete miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Good practical knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, and Power Point.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in Supply Chain Management or Finance; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • 1-2 years’ experience as a buyer in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Able to read printed word, write, speak and understand English.

  • Able to bend and reach.

  • Hold a valid driver's license and able to drive an automobile.

  • Sit at a workstation for long periods of time and able to traverse the building.

  • Must disclose any surgical implants, pins, braces or other devices that could be affected by induction fields.

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Salary:

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications.

Salary Range: $4,000 - $5,000/month

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.

Condition of Employment:

Must be able to satisfactorily complete the Inductotherm Corp. hiring process requirements which includes a comprehensive assessment, drug testing, and a background check.
