Job Description: Director, Asset Management Center of Excellence

Position Summary The Director of Asset Management Center of Excellence (CoE) leads Ryder’s Fleet Management Solutions enterprise Asset Management analytics, AI, data strategy, reporting, and technology optimization capabilities. Reporting to the Vice President of Asset Management, this role is responsible for transforming data into measurable business value through advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, pricing optimization, and commercial decision support.

The Director serves as the bridge between Asset Management, Finance, Pricing, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Technology, and Data Science, ensuring data-driven decisions improve revenue growth, profitability, asset utilization, customer value, and EBITDA performance.

This leader will develop and execute a long-term AI and analytics roadmap, converting emerging technologies into scalable business capabilities that drive measurable financial outcomes.

Essential Functions Strategic Leadership & Business Value Creation

  • Develop and execute the Asset Management AI, data, analytics, and automation strategy aligned with enterprise growth, EBITDA expansion, margin improvement, pricing effectiveness, and customer value creation.
  • Lead the Asset Management Center of Excellence responsible for analytics, reporting, fleet intelligence, asset lifecycle optimization, technology enablement, and process automation.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost reduction, asset productivity improvements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Establish KPIs, governance models, and performance measurement frameworks that directly connect analytics initiatives to financial outcomes.

Pricing & Revenue Optimization

  • Lead pricing strategy and optimization initiatives across asset portfolios.

  • Drive analytical approaches related to:• Price elasticity

  • Customer willingness-to-pay

  • Commercial segmentation

  • Dynamic pricing

  • Revenue management

  • Discount management

  • Promotional effectiveness

  • Recommend actions that improve pricing realization, profitability, and overall portfolio performance.

AI, Data Science & Advanced Analytics

  • Identify and deploy GenAI, predictive analytics, machine learning, optimization models, and AI agent capabilities that create measurable business value.
  • Lead development of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics solutions.
  • Translate emerging AI technologies into practical commercial, operational, and financial applications.
  • Partner with Technology and Data Science teams to move concepts from pilot to production at scale.

Product, Customer & Market Analytics

  • Utilize customer, market, competitive, operational, and financial data to support product strategy, product profitability, and portfolio optimization.
  • Analyze customer behavior, retention, acquisition, profitability, and lifetime value to influence commercial strategy.
  • Develop analytical insights that improve customer segmentation, cross-sell opportunities, upsell opportunities, and overall wallet share growth.
  • Evaluate and recommend product portfolio and asset investment strategies based on market demand and financial returns.

Reporting & Decision Support

  • Lead enterprise reporting, dashboard development, and analytical tools that support executive decision making.
  • Deliver actionable insights to senior leadership, translating complex analytics into business implications, financial outcomes, and strategic recommendations.
  • Build scalable reporting frameworks that improve visibility into fleet performance, utilization, profitability, and asset lifecycle management.

Talent Development & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of analytics, reporting, data, AI, and business intelligence professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, accountability, and business partnership.
  • Influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization and drive adoption of data-driven decision-making practices.

Education Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred

  • Master's Degree (MBA, Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or related discipline).

Experience Required

  • 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in analytics, pricing, finance, asset management, commercial strategy, product management, or related business functions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise analytics initiatives that generated measurable financial results.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing executive stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience within transportation, logistics, fleet management, leasing, warehousing, distribution, or other asset-intensive industries.
  • Experience leading AI, machine learning, pricing, commercialization, or revenue optimization initiatives.
  • Experience implementing enterprise analytics platforms and modern cloud-based data solutions.

Compensation Information: The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:

Pay Type: Salaried

Minimum Pay Range: 130,000

Maximum Pay Range: 150,000
