Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Mission Manager for a client in Jacksonville, FL. This position will be on site 5 days per week. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support the expansion of the Airbreathing Propulsion Test Facility. This role will partner closely with the Chief Engineer and cross-functional teams to drive contract performance, technical deliverables, and overall program success. The Mission Manager will serve as a key interface with government stakeholders, translating contractual requirements and technical objectives into actionable plans while overseeing schedules, budgets, suppliers, and program deliverables. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the contract, ensuring milestones are met and risks are proactively addressed. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on leadership in a highly technical environment. The ideal candidate has experience supporting government programs, managing suppliers and contractors, coordinating cross-functional teams, and balancing cost, schedule, and performance requirements.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).

5–10 years of experience managing complex technical programs or infrastructure projects, preferably in aerospace, defense, or R&D environments.

Demonstrated experience in direct execution of deliverables under contract to a government customer. Strong understanding of project management best practices (e.g., execution, risk analysis, scheduling, budget planning) Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence)

Familiarity with propulsion test infrastructure, ground test facilities, or aerospace systems integration. Experience managing external suppliers and contractors in high-complexity technical environments.

Eligible to obtain a US security clearance ( TS preferred) Flight/ Propulsion test background Government contract experience
