Job Description We are seeking a Senior Consultant specializing in Cribl to lead the design, implementation, optimization, and operationalization of enterprise logging, observability, and telemetry management solutions. This consultant will work directly with client stakeholders, architects, security teams, and platform engineers to modernize data pipelines, reduce observability costs, and improve visibility across hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in Cribl Stream, Cribl Edge, and log aggregation platforms, with a strong understanding of SIEM, security operations, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and enterprise monitoring ecosystems. This role requires both technical leadership and client-facing consulting skills, including discovery workshops, architectural design, implementation, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in Cribl and enterprise observability platforms with strong consulting and client engagement skills. They are comfortable architecting complex data pipelines, optimizing telemetry costs, supporting security and operations teams, and translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions. This individual thrives in customer-facing environments and can independently lead engagements from discovery through implementation and operational handoff.

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in observability, logging, monitoring, or security telemetry engineering.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing and administering Cribl Stream.
  • Experience designing and managing log ingestion, routing, filtering, transformation, and enrichment pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, Elastic, or Sumo Logic.
  • Experience integrating Cribl with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
  • Understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
  • Experience using infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills across logging and observability platforms.
  • Experience leading customer workshops, gathering requirements, and developing technical architecture recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills.
  • Experience with Cribl Edge, Cribl Search, or Cribl Lake.
  • Cribl Certified User or Cribl Certified Administrator certification.
  • Experience with OpenShift environments.
  • Experience supporting Security Operations Centers (SOC) and cyber defense initiatives.
  • Knowledge of OpenTelemetry standards and observability best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event streaming technologies.
  • Experience managing large-scale enterprise logging environments exceeding multiple terabytes per day.
  • Background in cloud security, threat detection, or incident response.
  • Experience with data governance, retention policies, and compliance frameworks. Consulting experience within regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, government, or telecommunications.
