Knowledge/Skills/Abilities- Knowledge of principles and practices of construction project management, modern architecture, design engineering and facility construction.- Knowledge of laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the construction and modification of facilities.- Knowledge of contract procedures, bidding procedures, architectural agreements and inspection procedures.- Knowledge of state and federal laws, rules and regulations governing architectural or civil engineering project management for building or facility renovation projects and campus scale infrastructure construction.- Ability to oversee the work of subordinate project managers or consultants.- Ability to establish positive working relationships with customers, superiors, subordinates, associates, design and construction consultants.- Ability to communicate effectively.- Ability to prepare, review and revise plans and specifications.- Ability to problem solve and utilize conscious decision making.- Ability to build teams and involve stakeholders.- Typical projects include but are not limited to interior renovations, energy efficiency projects, roofing and exterior replacements, HVAC and electrical upgrades, in ground infrastructure and thermal plant modernizations. Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in Construction Management.- SC Contractor's license, certified construction manager (CCM), professional engineer (PE), Certified Educational Facilities Professional (CEFP), or Project Management Professional (PMP).
