Summary

About the Position: This is a Budget Analyst position located at Fort Campbell, Kentucky

Duties

  • Reviews higher headquarters planning, programming and budgetary guidance. Ensures local budget policies and procedures comply with USASOC guidance/policy.
  • Responsible for executing a major segment of the organization’s annual budget.
  • Provides technical financial advisory services for a major segment of the organization budget operations.
  • Provides management with financial reporting and analysis.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education/ and or experiencerequirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1.) compiling financial and program execution data to support the development of organizational budget estimate submissions; AND 2.) monitoring assigned funding profiles and delivery schedules to identify potential variances in resource utilization; AND 3.) drafting informational briefings and reports to update management on the status of ongoing programmatic requirements; AND 4.) reviewing proposed program initiatives to ensure alignment with established federal planning and resourcing guidelines. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

You will be evaluated based on how well you meet the qualifications listed in this vacancy announcement.
