Position Title:
Segment Manager
Pay Rate :
$125,900 - $167,800
Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s annual incentive plan.

The Job You Will Perform:
-
Drive segment profitability by managing Bulk Produce accounts to increase IP’s market share and competitive advantage.
-
Execute strategic sales plans developed with the Segment Manager, aligning commercial goals with segment/geography needs.
-
Collaborate cross‑functionally with general management, manufacturing, sales, customer service, and design to maintain profitable business and strong customer relationships.
-
Develop alliance relationships that drive multi‑functional collaboration between IP and key accounts.
-
Execute Key Account Plans with highest‑priority strategic accounts, securing senior management alignment.
-
Provide customer insights to strengthen value propositions and support commercial strategy.
-
Prioritize sales effort through structured selection processes and effective engagement of support resources.

Analyze business conditions to identify opportunities and recommend solutions.
-
Maintain customer operational knowledge to anticipate needs and strengthen relationships.
-
Forecast volumes ahead of peak seasons to maximize customer experience and service reliability.
-
Optimize profitability through warehouse organization and supply‑chain alignment.
-
Segment targeted accounts by supply channels, service expectations, and strategic financial requirements.

Lead major accounts within assigned geography or segment, including accounts in the Business Unit’s top 25% profitability list.

Manage complex, multi‑location accounts with multi‑division needs and strategic importance.

Participate in business goal setting to align account strategy with broader NAC Bulk objectives.
The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:

Must have at least 3 years of management experience
-
BA/BS in sales or related business discipline required

Thorough understanding of the corrugated industry with preferred Bulk packaging knowledge

Knowledge of and compliance with local and corporate policies
-
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Ability to influence others effectively to accomplish tasks

Flexible team player with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
