Full job description
Summary This position is located at Stars and Stripes Pacific, Dededo, Guam. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Responsibilities Pick up newspapers, magazines, flyers, etc from designated drop locations and deliver them to various facilities and other locations efficiently and on time. Handle all necessary signoffs on forms, documenting and maintaining accurate inventory checklists, maintenance, and client records. Maintain clear and open communication with the supervisor to update on delivery progress, reporting any workflow issues promptly. Have personal mobile phone and Internet connectivity in order to communicate remotely with home office and Supervisor on call 24 hrs./7 days per week. Ensure the delivery vehicle is in optimal condition by scheduling and taking it for periodical maintenance at approved vendor locations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience demonstrated to show ability and knowledge to perform the duties described in duties. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Valid driver's license. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication abilities both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Proactive attitude and willingness to handle various tasks as assigned. Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume. Government positions must include pay plan, series, grade, to and from dates, and government agency/department. Applicants who meet both the minimum qualifications and highly qualifying criteria will be referred to the selecting official for consideration first. Management may subsequently request to review a referral list of all minimally qualified applicants. Allowances and Differentials This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
