Description
PRN - Day Shift
Starting Pay - $26.85 to $40.28 (based on experience)
Offers for external candidates are generally made between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on experience.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology Program or obtained Limited scope operator certification
Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and in good standing with continuing education (CE's)
Prior experience preferred
Requires good communication skills and ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making in problem identification and resolution
BLS certification within 90 days of hire

Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrates competency in performing radiology exams within the scope of practice for Limited Radiology Operator Certification.
Demonstrates proficiency in phlebotomy collection techniques and patient management, including venipuncture, capillary puncture, and (as applies) arterial puncture and therapeutic phlebotomy.
Demonstrates proficiency in patient preparation and specimen collection techniques for throat culture, urine, and other requested specimens.
Demonstrates proficiency in waived level testing for immunology, urinalysis, chemistry, and hematology (as applies).
Demonstrates proficiency in documenting patient specimen flow in Laboratory Information System (LIS).
Processes specimens according to requirements, including preparation of specimens for dispatch to external labs as needed.
Maintains a safe work environment and complies with standards for safe practice and standard precautions.
Performs required quality control and proficiency testing, evaluates data, and implements corrective action as needed.
Maintains competency in use of clinical information systems, including RIS, LIS, and EHR, as they apply to job.
Manages sufficient supply inventory.
Assists with policy and procedure review, development of new testing, and training of new employees, as assigned.
Performs phlebotomy at skilled nursing facilities, as needed.
As instructed by nursing lead:
Escorts patients to exam rooms.
Patient intake data collection (height and weight).
Assists clinician with procedures.
Prepares patient education materials and communicates patient instructions using preprinted materials.
Cleaning rooms and equipment between patients.
Other duties as assigned.

HeartCode BLS (required)
Limited Xray Operator (preferred)
Radiology Tech (preferred)
