Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Director of Risk Management & Regulatory Compliance for a leading behavioral health organization. This individual will oversee the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of organizational risk while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body regulations. The Director will partner closely with hospital leadership, department directors, and clinical teams to drive patient safety initiatives, manage investigations, support regulatory surveys, and implement process improvement efforts across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

-Lead all risk management and regulatory compliance activities across the hospital.

-Investigate and oversee patient, employee, and organizational incidents, including critical incidents, serious occurrences, and sentinel events.

-Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state licensure, and other regulatory requirements.

-Develop, implement, and monitor corrective action plans resulting from audits, surveys, and investigations.

-Conduct risk assessments, trend analyses, root cause analyses, and failure mode evaluations.

-Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to hospital leadership and committees.

-Coordinate with legal counsel, insurance carriers, regulatory agencies, and law enforcement as needed.

-Review and update policies, procedures, and safety programs to support a culture of continuous improvement.

-Lead multidisciplinary process improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, quality, and risk reduction.

-Serve as a key resource for leadership regarding regulatory and compliance matters.

Skills and Requirements

-Bachelor's degree required (BSN or related healthcare field).

-Risk management leadership experience within a hospital or healthcare setting. (Behavioral Health Specific)

-Strong knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, state licensure, and healthcare regulatory standards.

-Experience conducting investigations, root cause analyses, and compliance reviews.

-Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.

-Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership.
