Overview

Shift’s Available: Days

Employment Type: Per Diem/PRN

Hours: 12 hour shifts, 7:00a – 7:00p

Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, AL

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), internally referred to as LPN or LVN, in our Medical Surgical Unit. As an LPN/LVN in our Med Surg Unit, you will provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, focusing on tasks like monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care

  • Meets the communication needs of the patient and family

  • Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse

  • Nurses provide CPR, Patient Care, Update Documentation, Specimens, Wound Care and Vital Signs

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse

  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current

  • IV certification

  • One year experience in an applicable setting, preferred
