  • Delivers quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs.

  • Reports observed patient changes and needs to the registered nurse accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Demonstrates effective use of clinical strategies to ensure patient and associate safety.

  • Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the healthcare team using appropriate communication techniques.

  • Documents vital signs, input/output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other patient care performed, and reports findings promptly to the registered nurse.

  • Monitors and documents patient’s cardiac rhythm, recognizing and notifying the registered nurse immediately when life-threatening arrhythmias occur.

  • Responds promptly to all monitor alarms according to department/hospital policy and ensures the central monitor is never left unattended.

  • Maintains patient EKG records in a systematic, organized fashion and files EKG reports onto charts as needed.

  • Organizes inventory and replacement of telemetry supplies, ensuring inventory is maintained appropriately.

  • Utilizes computer technology to access and exchange data, maintain non-electronic patient records, and input daily and special charges as requested.

  • Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect.

  • Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Range:

$15.87 - $25.38 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
