WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Analyze spend across categories and perform detailed supply market analyses.

  • Partner with Project Leads and Category Managers to develop and execute material cost-reduction initiatives.

  • Conduct supplier benchmarking and market research to identify cost, capacity, and supply opportunities within the supply base.

  • Develop and implement supplier identification strategies and cost-comparison methodologies.

  • Support sourcing events, supplier evaluations, supplier negotiations, and supplier selection activities through data-driven analysis.

  • Monitor commodity markets, pricing trends, and industry developments that may impact metals sourcing strategies.

  • Ensure adherence to standardized sourcing processes and find opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Optimize supply management systems and reporting tools to enhance data accuracy and decision-making.

  • Collaborate with engineering, finance, operations, and business stakeholders to support category objectives.

  • Develop reports, dashboards, and analyses that support strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 1+ years of experience in Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related analytical role is highly preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

  • Experience supporting cost-reduction initiatives, supplier negotiations, and market analysis activities.

  • Advanced analytical skills, including experience with SQL, data validation, data quality management, and large-scale data analysis.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple sourcing projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and operations teams.

  • Experience documenting processes and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.

  • Familiarity with JD Edwards (JDE), MRP/ERP systems, Sievo, Enovia, and Esker is a plus.

Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$54,300.00 - $100,800.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
