Part-Time Day Culinary Aide

Entry Level

Earn $17.70 to $20.51 an hour as a Culinary Aide at Windmill Ponds in Alexandria. Add $1/hour for PM shifts and $3/hour on weekends. Day shift only, no nights. We respond to every applicant within 48 hours.

Windmill Ponds is a Vista Prairie Communities assisted living residence in Alexandria. As a Culinary Aide, you'll help serve meals, keep the dining room running smoothly, and make mealtime a highlight of residents' day.

What You'll Do

  • Serve meals to residents with care and attention to their preferences

  • Set up and break down the dining room before and after meals

  • Keep kitchen and dining areas clean and organized

  • Learn each resident's dietary needs, allergies, and food preferences

  • Respond quickly and kindly to meal requests during service

  • Support the cook and culinary team as needed

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions

  • Valid driver's license

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Previous food service or culinary experience

Pay and Benefits

  • $17.70–$20.51/hour, based on experience

  • $1/hour PM shift differential (if working 2:00 pm–10:00 pm)

  • $3/hour weekend differential (if working Saturday 6:00 am through Monday 4:59 am)

Schedule

Part-time, day shift, 9:30 am–5:30 pm. 3 days per pay period. 24 hrs - No weekend attached at this time, but might be added in the future with the possibility of picking up more hours. (when people go on vacation)
