Job Description
Responsibilities:

Providing technical leadership as a primary resource on internet protocol router network technologies for strategic direction
-
Analyzing network design and traffic flows to optimize internet protocol network performance and efficiency
-
Configuring routing protocols to efficiently manage and distribute customer traffic across the network
-
Analyzing traffic engineering data to accurately forecast future network capacity requirements and expansion needs
-
Adhering to the Engineering design life cycle with comprehensive documentation, ensuring network standards compliance
-
Developing rigorous test and acceptance criteria to validate the performance of internet protocol networks
-
Offering advanced technical support to resolve complex internet protocol network problems and ensure service stability
-
Delivering technical training to enhance the skills of technicians and other operational/engineering groups on emerging technologies
-
Fostering and maintaining relationships with regional and local market teams to align network strategies and operations
-
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Salary:
Illinois Pay Range: $104,342.90 - $156,514.35
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
