THE ROLE

We are looking for a Lead Steward to join our team at New Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, NY. As a lead Steward, you will be responsible for overseeing all stewarding operations throughout Highmark Stadium, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and operational efficiency. This position leads and manages all dishwashers and porters, oversees game day and non-game day stewarding operations, and ensures compliance with ServSafe standards, New York State Department of Health regulations, OSHA requirements, and all company safety policies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Lead sanitation initiatives across all kitchens, service areas, storage locations, and stewarding spaces.

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in all kitchens and back-of-house areas.

• Support culinary and hospitality teams to maintain seamless food and beverage service throughout events.

• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to stewarding team members.

• Promote a culture of accountability, sanitation excellence, and workplace safety throughout the stadium.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.

• Practice safe work habits and complete company and venue safety and general compliance training.

• Adheres to the Legends Global and venue company policies.

• Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong knowledge of dish machine operations, sanitation procedures, and chemical management.

• Working knowledge of ServSafe Food Safety standards and Department of Health regulations.

• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet operational deadlines.

• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and event days.

COMPENSATION

Competitive hourly range of $20-22/hr, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
