Who You Will Work With As an intern within the Cisco EMEA Sales Legal department, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting a team where legal is truly viewed as a business partner. This is a unique opportunity for an intern eager to learn about the legal implications of leading, cutting-edge technology—from Commercial, Antitrust, and Intellectual Property to Privacy, Security, and the rapidly evolving world of Artificial Intelligence. What You Will Do As a member of the Sales Legal Department in EMEA, you will be actively involved in:

  • Working closely with the legal and business teams.

  • Supporting the drafting and negotiation of commercial and technology agreements for local and international business customers.

  • Taking part in cross-functional and legal innovation projects, including the use of AI-powered tools to improve legal productivity.

  • Getting training and learning from subject matter experts (e.g., on IT, IP, competition, Privacy, AI—you name it!).

  • Analyzing a range of legal issues and carrying out research to answer queries from internal stakeholders or Cisco’s customers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in Spanish and English.

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a master's degree program or must have terminated their master’s degree program.

  • Legal Skills:

  • • Strong interest in IP, Privacy, Security, IT, and the legal frameworks surrounding technology.

  • The ability to read and understand complex contract provisions.

  • Knowledge of Spanish commercial contract and business law, as well as IP law.

  • The ability to efficiently create English and Spanish legal documents for internal and external use.

  • An aptitude for understanding industry practice on legal issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Languages: Knowledge of German, Arabic or French is considered an advantage.

  • Experience: Previous legal working experience would be an advantage in the selection process.

  • Professional Attributes:

  • • Excellent relationship and communication skills; you are adaptable and a fast learner.

  • Strong motivation to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to operate efficiently in a highly automated, modern environment.

  • Ability to concisely convey information and ideas both in writing and verbally.

  • You are responsive to the requirements of Cisco’s attorneys and operate well in a professional legal team.
