Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (FLEET MGMT), Position Description Number T5799500 and is part of the169 LRS, South Carolina Air National Guard. Responsibilities ***This is a Title 5 National Guard Employee position description. **This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)" This position is located in an Air National Guard (ANG), Mission Support Group, Logistics Readiness Squadron, Vehicle Management. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Vehicle Fleet Manager for host and subordinate units; ensuring the efficient and effective utilization and maintenance of vehicles and equipment (i.e., refueling vehicles, fire trucks, materiel handling equipment, de-icing, snow removal, aircraft towing, tactical, construction equipment, and DOMOPS vehicles). Incumbent performs preliminary planning, long term scheduling, managing maintenance production, and conducting analysis. Analyzes and reviews reports and statistical data from subordinate functions and other sources for the purpose of evaluating overall maintenance program status or identifying exception, trend, or problems areas. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO AREAS OF CONSIDERATION (AOC) 1 ONLY. "This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)" Area 1: Current employees (Tenure 1 and 2 / internal to the Agency) Area 2: All other applicants (external to the Agency). *Temporary and Indefinite employees do not meet permanent tenure requirements and are not eligible for Area 1. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To be rated qualified for this position your resume must show definitively at least 24 months experience in the following- Experience, education or training preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc. Education Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Completion of 2 academic years of education in an accredited college or university will satisfy the requirements for GS-4 positions. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience for GS-5 positions. Additional Information
