About the Position: Incumbent will serve as a Construction Control Representative. Hiring Organization: US ARMY IMCOM JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD DIRECTORATE OF PUBLIC WORKS
Duties
- Monitor construction at all stages to identify problems.
- Approve quality level of construction at the initial control phase of each definable feature of work.
- Interpret contract requirements during the preparatory and initial phases.
- Keep close contact with user personnel on operating facilities being refurbished to minimize interference with operations.
- Administer the construction warranty program for each completed contract.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Observe construction at all stages to identify problems; 2) Review construction project plans before advertisement to evaluate feasibility; and 3 ) Review contractor documentation to calculate periodic payments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-08).
