QXO is looking for an Accountant II to join our LBM Division Accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records through preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, account analysis, and month-end close activities. This role supports compliance with accounting standards and timely financial reporting.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare and record daily and monthly cash journal entries.

  • Reconcile multiple cash and clearing accounts in a multi-entity environment daily, weekly and monthly.

  • Prepare and post month-end, quarter-end, and year-end journal entries for low to moderate risk accounts.

  • Maintain low to moderate risk balance sheet reconciliations for multiple entities within a region.

  • Maintain monthly schedules and perform quarterly asset reviews with the field.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual fixed asset roll-forwards

  • Perform financial analysis and P&L flux reviews on key accounts.

  • Support audits and compliance requirements.

  • Ad hoc as assigned.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.

  • 2-5 years of accounting experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of accounting theory/GAAP and ability to perform research as necessary.

  • Must be detail oriented, and technically minded.

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize tasks.

  • Strong research and reconciliation skills required.

  • Relevant industry experience considered a plus: Manufacturing/Distribution/Construction.

  • Team player

  • Self-motivated

  • Strong ability to problem solve.

  • Dedicated and committed individual.

  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication as well as great interpersonal skills.

  • Customer focused (i.e., generating accurate and timely results and effectively and timely communicating to customers, colleagues, and management).

  • Desire to lead new process creation and implementation.
