Career Center Manager (Mission Services)

What You’ll Do

As the Career Center Manager, you’ll take ownership of all center operations, blending strategic vision with boots-on-the-ground leadership. From coaching staff and cultivating community partnerships to using data to fine-tune services, you’ll lead with purpose and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead & Inspire: Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of staff members. You’ll foster a collaborative, inclusive, and mission-driven work environment.

  • Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations to ensure compliance with safety, confidentiality, and customer service standards.

  • Empower Growth: Deliver hands-on training and professional development, promoting a culture of continuous learning.

  • Build Bridges: Develop strong relationships with local employers, educational institutions, chambers of commerce, and community partners to expand job opportunities and support local hiring needs.

  • Champion Our Mission: Promote the center’s services through outreach, social media, public events, and collaborative partnerships.

  • Use Data for Impact: Leverage performance metrics and CRM systems to monitor progress, drive decisions, and improve service delivery.

What You Bring

  • A passion for people and a belief in their potential.

  • Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written.

  • A strong sense of initiative, accountability, and ethics.

  • The ability to lead with empathy and drive with purpose.

  • A talent for relationship-building, problem-solving, and team development.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in workforce development, education, nonprofit, or a related field.

  • Previous supervisory or management experience.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Comfortable traveling locally for community outreach and partner engagement.

TravelTravel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected—travel required for community outreach, partnership meetings, and professional development.
