Requirements:

Must have NYS license as a Physical Therapist

Must be on current Monroe County Civil Service Physical Therapist Eligibility ListOR

Currently hold the Monroe County Civil Service Title of Physical TherapistOR

Have work experience that would qualify for the Physical Therapist titleOR

In the event that there is a "no-list", applicants can be hired provisionally if they complete the following conditions:

Meet the Civil Service qualifications for the position

Take the Civil Service exam, when offered

Are reachable on the Civil Service list

Experience working with school-aged children in a school setting
Responsibilities:
-
Perform physical therapy procedures upon the written prescription or referral from a physician, utilizing an exercise or creative activity treatment program designed and/or adapted to correct or improve functional ability.

Evaluates the degree of function and disability of students unless contraindicated by the supervising therapist's professional judgment or a physician's prescription.
-
Develops a treatment plan based upon findings, short and long-term goals and in accordance with a physician's diagnosis, prescription or referral.
-
Maintains program records including, but not limited to, the service budget, statistical reports of the frequency and types of treatment and number of students treated.
-
Participates in research activities and the development of new treatment programs and techniques in conjunction with other staff and physicians.
-
Participates and assists in the development of educational programs and instructs in-service education programs.
Salary: As per current Webster Teachers Contract, as well as education and experience
